More on MTV Model Maker and Torrid’s ad

After looking at my blog stats this morning, I notice that a high number of folks are finding the blog I wrote about Torrid recruiting “girls with pretty faces” to participate in a weight loss-oriented boot camp reality TV show by searching for the details of Torrid’s model search. I encourage you all to think long and hard before you make the decision to apply for this show. A few seconds of fame will most likely not compensate for the abuse you may face, but it is your own decision.

Please also read my piece on America’s Next Top Model, and be aware that the modeling and fashion industry are intense on the body and mind. It worries me that so many people will fall into this trap, and I think it’s important to keep people informed.
